I have yet to see Tropic Thunder, but I can definitely imagine this working. I like it when Bollywood references itself, and I'm guessing there would be a ton of opportunities for in-jokes about the industry. Good pick!
So much fun Filmigirl! Looking forward to more video blogs! And yes, I can totally see TROPIC THUNDER as a Bollywood film...but of course, I would want to see Suniel Shetty in there someplace :)
Interesting, havent seen Tropic Thunder but sounds like a made for bollywood kinda movie, but to be honest I would like to see the reverse happening, an masala over the top indian movie with all white cast, it would be hilarious imagine a white actor removing a sword or a big knife from the back of his shirt and chasing another white guy in times square or something like they show in telugu/kannada movies.it would be awesome.
I feel so honored my question got answered first!
Maybe not the movie I would have picked but an awesome choice and you sold me on the casting esp if you add Salman Khan to the mix.
only issues I have:
Bollywood doesn't do Parody quite yet and War movies aren't so prevalent. maybe "the corrupt politcian-underworld movie" or the "yuppie NRI rom com" could be a good genres to parody for Bollywood.
